Using the tired argument that the students of the University disrupted the lecture given by the president of the Minute Men Org. but will welcome a terrorist and enemy of Israel. Conservative media put on a full frontal assault on Columbia University and its president Lee Bollinger. However it was not the students but some students that demonstrated against the Minute Men’s president. And true to the diverse culture of a modern University there were demonstrations for and against the Iranian President.

Conservatives say this man is sending weapons that are killing our troops. The proof is that Iranian weapons and components have been found in the hands of the enemy and that alone makes him a terrorist and enemy of the US. Using that logic it could be said that George Bush is a terrorist. The Turkish government has found US made weapons in the hands of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party or PKK, rebels a group fighting for an independent Kurdistan and considered a foreign terrorist organization by the State Department.

Lee Bollinger’s feeble attempt at appeasing his critics by attacking his guest was embarrassing to me as a free thinker and an American. Like Ahmadinejad I was raised to respect my guest. thereby if I invite you into my home to disrespect you disrespect myself and my family. These I believe to be American values.

Bollinger’s questions alone produced adequate poof of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s mindset however by attacking Ahmadinejad who is whether we like him or not the president of a sovereign nation on the world stage we made the answers to the questions less a story than the debate over the mistreatment of Ahmadinejad.
