Ten years ago Yitzhak Rabin then Prime Minister of Israel was assassinated

Ten years ago Yitzhak Rabin then Prime Minister of Israel was assassinated. This man one of Israel ’s greatest Generals became Prime Minister at one of those points in time that can only be called momentous. This man who made his mark in history fighting the Palestinians. At the end of his Military career he became Ambassador to the United States . As Prime Minister he shared the Noble Peace Prize with Yasser Arafat and then Foreign Minister Shimon Peres. In 1994 he signed a peace treaty with the King of Jordan and began the process of returning the Palestinian homelands. On November 4, 1995 Ten years ago Mr. Rabin was assassinated by a right wing Israeli gunman. And the peace between the two peoples evaporated but now here we are ten years later once again Israel has a leader who came to prominence in the Israeli Defense force once again this leader tried to win the peace by negotiating with the Palestinians and has begun returning land to the Palestinians. We of the world need to learn the lesson these two men took way to long to learn. Some time you have to stop trying to win the war and try to win the peace.
